The next meeting of the Board will be its regularly scheduled business meeting on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Notably, Dobyns-Bennett is the only high school in Tennessee to earn the prestigious Model PLC at Work® School designation.

Families will begin using ParentSquare at the start of the 2026-27 school year.

With few exceptions, the Board will hold regular monthly board meetings on the second Tuesday at 6 p.m. and work sessions on the fourth Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Parents or guardians of children 18 years and younger can pick up a food bag or box, including seven (7) days of food to cover a week of breakfast and lunch meals for each child in their home that is not receiving meals in a summer learning program.

No-cost meals will be served Monday – Friday to all children age 18 and under from May 26 – July 10, 2026.

Through the program, Chandler Johnson received a full four-year scholarship valued at approximately $325,000.

A total of 29 students from Dobyns-Bennett High School and D-B EXCEL were recognized for their academic achievements by Northeast State Community College.

The Dobyns-Bennett High School Art Department is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of its students at “ArtEx 2026.” “ArtEx” is a regional art exhibition held at the Bristol Public Library in Bristol, Virginia and is sponsored by Bristol's Art in Public Places organization. The exhibit culminated in an awards ceremony on Saturday, May 9th, where Dobyns-Bennett students took home numerous honors.
