Dobyns-Bennett junior, Evelyn Yang, has earned the highest possible composite score of 36 on a recent ACT test.

Dr. Chris Hampton has been named the permanent KCS Superintendent with unanimous approval of his employment contract by the Board of Education.

The meeting will now take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 (originally scheduled for March 14, 2023).

The purpose is to inform and discuss with parents and students the importance of mental and behavioral health, attendance, and the negative effects of truancy.

Those named are Alex Chen, Hannah Estes, Ava Hochstetler, Ria Kothari, and Zackary Newman.

Hannah Estes and Ria Kothari have been named among 5,500 candidates in the 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

Those named include Michael Hubbard, Dr. Stacy Edwards, Marie Taylor, Kathleen Donnellan, and Regina Davenport.

The Board voted 5-0 to authorize Board President Melissa Woods to lead the contract development and negotiation process.

KCS is now accepting nominations (retired teachers or non-teachers) for the 2023 class of the KCS Hall of Fame, which will be inducted in July 2023.
