KCS School Nutrition Services department is providing no-cost meals with the Summer Meals for Kids program beginning Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

At a joint work session of the Kingsport Board of Education and the City of Kingsport Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Monday, April 24, 2023, KCS Superintendent Dr. Chris Hampton presented a review of a recently completed study exploring enrollment, facilities, and school conditions.

Russell C. Bennett, Dobyns-Bennett High School art teacher, was recently commissioned Kentucky Colonel.

Dr. Brian Tate has been named the permanent principal of Dobyns-Bennett High School, effective immediately.

We want our students safe and healthy; to do so, we need the support of our families and the community to battle underage vaping.

Dr. Chris Hampton has been named the permanent KCS Superintendent with unanimous approval of his employment contract by the Board of Education.

The meeting will now take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 (originally scheduled for March 14, 2023).

The purpose is to inform and discuss with parents and students the importance of mental and behavioral health, attendance, and the negative effects of truancy.
