Bryan Kerns, Dobyns-Bennett High School Fire Management Services and Mathematics teacher, named the 2024-25 State of Tennessee Teacher of the Year at the TDOE's annual Excellence in Education celebration.

Mallori France, the daughter of Derrick and Kelli France, graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in May 2024.

With few exceptions, the Board will hold regular monthly board meetings on the second Tuesday at 6 p.m. and work sessions on the fourth Tuesday at 6 p.m.

All enrolled KCS students will receive meals at no charge, regardless of socioeconomic status, beginning Monday, August 5, 2024.

Priority status deadline is Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

No-cost meals will be served Monday – Friday to all children age 18 and under from June 3 – June 28, 2024. No meals will be served on weekends.

Non-Kingsport residents in Tennessee will now pay a tuition rate of $1,000 per student/per year. City of Kingsport and Kingsport City Schools employees will now pay a tuition rate of $500 per student/per year.
