Chromebook Distribution
All students will be assigned a Chromebook to support their learning at Dobyns-Bennett. The Chromebook is a critical tool for student learning regardless of whether we are in school or in a virtual setting. The Chromebook (or a home-provided device) is essential for virtual learning.
We are going to allow new transfer students and 9th graders who are scheduled to attend face-to-face classes to pick-up their Chromebooks on Thursday, August 6th in the front lobby of our new front entrance (Fort Henry Drive side) at the following times:
⮚ Students whose last names start with A-L: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
⮚ Students whose last names start with M-Z: 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m

Masks must be worn during the time students are on campus picking up their Chromebooks. All students must enter our campus through the front doors (Fort Henry Drive entrance) and have their temperatures checked. Students with temperatures above 100.0 will not be allowed to enter the building.
Students who are scheduled for Remote Choice Learning will be contacted at a later time to pick-up their devices.
Each student MUST have the following in order to pick up his/her Chromebook:
⮚ All 8th grade devices must have been turned in to the respective middle school and the obligation for that device cleared prior to getting a new device from the high school.
⮚ Complete and have parents/guardians sign the Responsible Use/Google Applications For Education form and turn it in when they pick up his/her Chromebook. Click here for the RUP/GAFE form. Students who do not have access to a printer may come inside the school and get a hard copy of the RUP/GAFE form to take outside and have it signed by their parent/guardian.
⮚ Students must log-in to their Chromebook and connect to the school network before leaving to ensure their device is working properly.
